Hoyte Van Hoytema and Jordan Peele wearing mask on the se of Nope

IMAX have shared a new look behind the scenes of Jordan Peele’s expansive horror epicNope. Peele and his cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema discuss why they chose to shoot on IMAX film cameras.

Talking on the set of his latest film, Peele says “My films are always personal. Nope stands apart from my other films in that it’s a bigger adventure than I’ve ever tried to tell. From a filmmaker perspective, by far my most ambitious.”

The film’s director of photography, Hoyte Van Hoytema (Tenet, Interstellar), says “In the scope of what we could do, this is made for the big screen. We shot on IMAX cameras and we were not shy of doing very extreme or crazy things with those cameras.”
