Deborah Chow and Ewan McGregor behinds the scenes of Obi Wan Kenobi

Disney have shared a trailer for their upcoming behind-the-scenes look at Ewan McGregor’s return to the Star Wars universe in Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return. The documentary is a Disney+ Day premiere and will be streaming from September 8, 2022.

This special explores the return of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker to the screen, as well as Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen to their classic roles. Director Deborah Chow leads the cast and crew as they create new heroes and villains that live alongside new incarnations of beloved Star Wars characters, and an epic story that dramatically bridges the saga films.

Ewan McGregor finally returned to our screens as Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in his very own live-action series that premiered on Disney+ earlier this year. The series was announced at D23 Expo back in August 2019 and fans couldn’t wait for more McGregor in the Star Wars universe.

In the series, Hayden Christensen reprised his role as Darth Vadar for the first time since Revenge of the Sith, which was released in 2005. Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie all joined McGregor and Christensen in the series, which consists of six one-hour episodes.
